CDC Priorities: Promoting Sexual Variety and "Fun" to Teens, Over Autism Treatment

Um... wow.

Your tax dollars at work.

Today I received this from the mother of a teen age actor: "...sent to us and I thought you'd like to see this one seeking teens for a CDC campaign."

As an autism mom who has been pleading with the CDC to address our children's health crisis, I let out an internal scream so loud dogs could hear it.

And I have to wonder where they were planning on airing this? The CW?

Please CDC, justify this project ahead of the prevention and treatments of ASD, OCD, ADD/ADHD, PANDAS, Lyme, and the epidemics of neurological and autoimmune disorders that you are completely ignoring.

My guess is that the day after Tom Price is confirmed and names a CDC Director, Anne Schuchat will be done and this expenditure will be gone, as I am pretty sure she is quite confused about the role of government in general, and the job of the specific department that she is currently temp heading.

There is a fine line between extended family members providing council to a teen on their sex life, and participating in a teen's sex life. Grandma seems to be crossing that line and "grooming" her grandchild.

Grandma may need a mental health evaluation, and if parents don't restrict her access to her grandchildren, it might warrent CPS involvement.

I have sent the following inquiry to the CDC:

Subject: CDC Sex PSA
Date: Tue, 31 Jan 2017 15:15:24 -0500
From: Ginger Taylor <GTaylor@HealthChoice.org>
To: media@cdc.gov
Looking for comment on a potential sex PSA being produced by CDC.
Attached is a reported screen shot provided by an actor contacted to audition for a role in a CDC production.
Can CDC confirm that this is indeed a script for one of their projects?
If so, how does the agency justify such a project and its expenditures given the lack of progress in neurological and autoimmune disorders that are currently epidemic levels, including autism, OCD, ADD/ADHD, PANDAS, Lyme and associated disorders?
How does encouraging minors to talk openly about a range of sexual experiences fulfill the department's mandate, when no aspects of disease prevention or treatment are discussed?
What is the budget for this project?
Where will it be aired/used?
Thank you,
